The Northeast Face of Everest from Advanced Basecamp, 21,500 feet, Tibet. The prominent, jagged ridgeline is the upper Northeast Ridge, culimating in The Pinnacles. On the right, much further away, is the summit of Everest, while the North Ridge descends digaonally to the right in front of the summit.
Sometimes call the "Miracle Highway," the medial moraine of the East Rongbuk Glacier blissfully splits the miles-long ice forest of the glacier, allowing for relatively easy progress to Advanced Basecamp on Mount Everest, Tibet.
